When did you participate in the Shooting Stars program?

I participated in 2002-2003 when I was a Senior in High School at St. Thomas Aquinas

How did you utilize your Shooting Stars scholarship?

I used the award to help with college preparation costs.

What type of fine/performing/visual art were you passionate about then and do you still pursue that art today?

I am still a singer and actress, and when I was in high school this was my dream. I am honored to be able to continue living my passion and using my artistry for a living.

What has been happening in your life since you participated in the Shooting Stars program?

I have been on Broadway, Television and in films since I participated. I majored in Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan and upon graduation, began working with an agent and started working as a professional actress and singer.  Beyond performing, I have started a company called Empowered Voices that uses music and theatre techniques combined with traditional prevention education tactics to prevent sexual assault in the military. How has the Shooting Stars program helped you to become a better artist?

It reaffirmed that hard work, passion, kindness, and discipline can help you achieve your dreams.
