The Arts Council of Johnson County enhances the quality of life in Johnson County by strengthening the Arts.<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

ACJC\u2019s mission guides our work and so do our core values: community, creativity, quality of life<\/strong> and stewardship<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our programs, convenings and advocacy have a responsibility to contribute to a more diverse, connected, and inclusive community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The power of creativity<\/strong> inspires, innovates, and opens us to new perspectives of how we view ourselves, share ideas, and solve problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arts are essential to the health and well-being of our community, strengthen our economy, and ensure an equitable quality of life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inclusive and collaborative stewardship <\/strong>nurtures and grows our creative industries for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACJC board and staff<\/a> participated in workshops in 2019 to help us learn and implement strategies around building a more equitable, diverse and inclusive organization. Our core values guide our work and actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Arts Agency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the Board of County Commissioners designated the Arts Council of Johnson County as the Local Arts Agency<\/strong> for Johnson County. This designation affirms the work ACJC has long been doing: advancing arts policy, fostering cross-sector partnerships, promoting arts and culture, and expanding access to arts and creativity. It recognizes our collaborative efforts in engaging the arts to strengthen community well-being, education, and economic vitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
