Public art has the power to transform, connect, educate and involve. It can help create community identity and attract people. Through collaborative community processes, public art can change attitudes and perceptions. and create an experience or place where people want to be.
The Arts Council of Johnson County, in partnership with Johnson County Community College, University of Kansas, and municipal and county public art collections, has launched a digital catalog of public art in Johnson County. The mission of this new project is to create a centralized, easy-to-use collection of digital resources to give Johnson County residents and visitors alike a way to locate, view, research, and reflect upon the many pieces of public art throughout our county. Thank you to our partners, sponsors, and volunteers for making this project possible.
